Responsibilities & Skills

The FAE Manager – Broad Market is a senior technical and people leader responsible for driving design wins and customer adoption of Lattice FPGA solutions across the Broad Market segment in EMEA.

Your key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate remote FAE teams within channel partners (Arrow and ATD Macnica, Telsys), enabling them to operate as fully capable Lattice FAEs
  • Assign and monitor training and certification programs tailored to segment and subregional needs
  • Regularly review technical support cases per DFAE, escalating and joining customer meetings where progress is insufficient
  • Serve as the primary interface between channel partner FAEs, Lattice Marketing, R&D, and the Broad Market customer base
  • Drive design wins across industrial, video, A&D, and emerging segments (drones, humanoids, AI at the edge)
  • Lead by example in technical engagement, customer handling, problem-solving, and capable to speak to large audience in EMEA events.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop channel FAEs across EMEA, defining goals, KPIs, and individual development plans.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching to foster a high-performance, customer-first culture.

Channel Partner FAE Enablement

  • Own the technical relationship with channel-partner FAEs across EMEA, serving as their primary Lattice point of contact.
  • Assess individual skill levels, define development roadmaps, and deliver structured training on Lattice products, FPGA design flows, and customer engagement best practices.
  • Drive regular cadence meetings and workshops; track and report FAE activity, skill progression, and design win contribution.

Trusted Technical Authority

  • Act as senior technical advisor for the Broad Market segment across customers, channel FAEs, and internal stakeholders.
  • Represent Lattice at a senior level in customer engagements, industry events, and escalations.

Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Drive design wins and revenue growth across industrial, video, automotive, A&D, and emerging segments (drones, humanoids, AI at the edge).
  • Build scalable go-to-market strategies with channel partners; track pipeline health, design win progress, and forecasted revenue.

Project & Customer Engagement

  • Support channel FAEs in managing customer projects end-to-end, anticipating and mitigating technical and schedule risks, if required with joined visits.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder discussions across technical and executive audiences; sell on value, not price.

FPGA & System Expertise

  • Guide channel FAEs through complex design trade-offs, FPGA architectures, tools, and application-level problem solving.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Lattice's product roadmap, competitive landscape, and market trends including AI at the edge, security (CRA), and next-generation system architectures.

Cross-Functional Effectiveness

  • Drive alignment across Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Support to capture opportunities and resolve customer issues.
  • Operate effectively across EMEA, APAC, and North American business contexts with international partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in FPGA and/or ASIC design, including experience with VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, or HLD development tools (Radiant, Diamond, Quartus, Vivado, etc.).
  • 10+ years of experience in a customer-facing FAE or technical leadership role within the semiconductor or related technology industry.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing technical teams.
  • Experience designing and delivering technical training programs for internal or partner audiences.
  • Strong understanding of the Broad Market segment and key industry verticals (industrial, video, automotive, A&D).
  • A good technical understanding of the value proposition of FPGA vs ASSPs (Application Specific Products) and key trends like security and CRA (Cyber Resilience Act) is a must have.
  • A good technical understanding of common IPs like DDR, Gbe, SDI, PCIe, Mipi etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills, including for large audiences, and the ability to work with multiple groups and projects.
  • Fluent English and the respective national language; strong multicultural awareness required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel regularly across the EMEA territory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Prior leadership experience within a semiconductor or technology-driven organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of FPGA technology and Broad Market target application segments.
  • Experience working across EMEA in a regional or pan-European role with channel and distribution partners.
  • Other European languages are a strong plus.
  • Educational background in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications preferred; master’s degree or higher is a plus.

Location

For the EMEA Broad Market region, candidates ideally reside in Germany, France, Italy, the Iberian Peninsula, or the Benelux region, working in a hybrid environment (primarily from home office with regular customer, partner, and team travel across the territory).
