Responsibilities & Skills

Accountabilities:

  • Enable customers by resolving device / IP / software issues, inclusive of debugging, simulations, customer education, and close communications with stakeholders.
  • Create / debug or enhance customer demos and reference designs for Lattice devices and evaluation boards.
  • Develop or improve technical publications such as data sheets, user guides, and application notes.
  • Evaluate and test new software releases.
  • Assist in product definition per customer requirements and needs.
  • Support engagements and presentations such as seminars, web cases, and training programs.
  • Deliver device and tools training to FAEs, Distributor FAEs & customers.
  • Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent technological updates.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors / Masters in Electronics Engineering / Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of FPGA or microcontroller experience.
  • Experience with HDL programming such as Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with embedded programming using C/C++, or low-level programming using assembly language.
  • Experience in digital circuit simulation, and code/board-level debugging.
  • Experience with lab equipment such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, etc.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with strength in customer technical support mindset, processes, and best practices.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams across multiple global sites.
  • Strong ability to stay composed, resourceful, and solution-focused in dynamic and challenging customer situations.
  • Expertise in performing timing analysis and closure for complex FPGA projects is a definite plus.
  • Experience with scripting languages (TCL, Bash, Python) is a plus.
  • Experience with Linux-based environments is a plus.
