Lattice is looking for a motivated and experienced factory Applications Engineer to support application designs & use cases, vendors and customers with our current and future industry-leading devices. Our Silicon Product Enablement team is seeking an outstanding team member to help design and execute "best-in-class" solutions for our best-in-class low power, small form factor, high reliability and performance product line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Domain Lead: Lead and drive silicon feature enablement & improvement for a particular domain, such as IO, Memory, Serdes, etc.
- Develop silicon enablement collaterals with focus on usability and performance.
- Develop and conduct trainings/workshop for sales & tech support team.
- Provide factory support and guidance to resolve customer issues.
- Collaborate closely with sales team to understand customer needs & solidify requirements to R&D.
Specific job skill requirements:
- Experience in FPGA architecture & foundational blocks such as PLL, Embedded Memory blocks, DSP blocks, Input/Output blocks, etc is required.
- Experience in a wide variety of physical interface standards, including SSTL, HSTL, LVSTL, HSUL is highly desirable.
- Experience in timing closure, PLL/DLLs, physical interface strategies and signal integrity is highly desirable.
- Hands-on FPGA development experience, including RTL development and verification is highly desirable.
General requirements:
- BS/MS in EE with 15+ years of experience.
- Hands-on FPGA and/or firmware bring-up/debugging experience using oscilloscopes and signal analyzers is required.
- Expertise in FPGA design flows, Verilog and/or VHDL.
- Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal required.
- Hands-on experience delivering revenue-generating hardware products is required.
- Participation in all aspects of product development, from architecture and specification through documentation, market release and customer support.
- Must be able to work independently and also in a team environment.
