Responsibilities & Skills

This position will focus on the Reliability Qualification of New Product Introductions (NPIs), Product Derivatives & Quick Turn Packages (QTP) as well as support reliability evaluations/assessment on excursions or customer returns for active products in production.

 

Activities include:

1. Development of a Qualification/Evaluation Plan that will guarantee/assess quality and reliability of NPIs as well as existing Lattice products.

2. Manage the Qualification Plan and Provide Execution/Instruction based on Industry standard protocols

3. Support Qual hardware (High Temp Operating Life (HTOL), Biased Temperature Humidity and Power Temp Cycling (PTC), at the minimum) definition as well as development of HTOL and PTC patterns.

4. Interfacing/Coordination w/ stakeholders (Design/Product/Package/Assembly/Software Engineering and Planning) on support requirements to ensure flawless execution against schedule of devices ongoing Qual.

5. First level device/package failure analysis on Qual/Evaluation failures.

6. Data analysis and release of Qualification/Evaluation results.

7. Provide recommendation of Reliability plans for specific evaluations and expected to have familiarity on most of the Reliability standards for Commercial/Industrial and Automotive.

 

Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years’ experience preferred as individual contributor in product, test, quality or reliability engineering for semiconductors. Junior engineers or recent college graduate are welcome to apply.
  • BS/MS Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering, Physics or Materials Science.
  • Strong electrical and programming background (Java, Verilog, VBA, R) would be a plus
  • Working experience in HW design and FPGA.
  • Working understanding of Non-Volatile cell voltage margins (Flash or EEprom).
  • Working understanding of CPLD’s, FPGA’s or products of similar complexity.
  • Strong PC and MS Office skills. Knowing VBA is a plus.
  • Strong data analysis/mining skills (JMP, SQL)
  • Ability to independently find solutions to complex, ill-defined problems.
  • Must be able to multi-task. Must be detail-oriented with strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple groups.
  • Working experience and understanding on Package/Device Failure Analysis would be a plus
