Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert technical support by resolving device hardware and software issues, including intellectual property(IP)-related concerns, through debugging, simulation, and proactive customer education. Maintain close communication with stakeholders throughout the process.
Collaborate with internal R&D and product development teams to enhance application features, improve usability, and optimize overall customer experience.
Design, debug, and refine customer demonstration platforms and reference designs utilizing Lattice Semiconductor devices and evaluation boards.
Enhance and/or author technical documentation such as data sheets, user guides, and application notes to support product implementation and understanding.
Conduct thorough evaluation and validation of new software releases, ensuring functionality, reliability, and compatibility with hardware platforms.
Participate in defining product specifications based on customer feedback, market trends, and technical requirements.
Represent the organization in customer engagements including seminars, webinars, and technical training programs, delivering insightful presentations and demonstrations.
Facilitate and deliver comprehensive device and tools training sessions to Lattice Field Application Engineers (FAEs), distributor FAEs, and end customers.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
Demonstrates a minimum of three (5) years of hands-on experience working with FPGAs or microcontroller-based systems.
Proficient in Hardware Description Languages (HDLs) including Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
Experienced in digital circuit simulation, as well as board-level and code-level debugging techniques.
Competent in operating electronic test instruments such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
Strong background with hardware communication protocols including JTAG, SPI, I²C, and UART.
Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, paired with excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer engagement.
Capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams across diverse geographical locations.
Skilled in embedded systems programming using C/C++, with additional proficiency in low-level programming using assembly language is advantageous.
Exposure to scripting languages such as TCL, Bash, or Python is advantageous.
Prior experience working within Linux-based environments is considered an asset.
