Responsibilities & Skills

Responsibilities

  • Support Product Engineers in their required bench setups

  • Setup and troubleshoot ATE class test systems and handlers

  • Setup and troubleshoot bench test systems

  • Execute testing of samples (ie. AS, ES) using ATE and or bench platforms, ensuring timely delivery of tested samples to internal and external customers

  • Report and escalate setup, HW, or test issues that crop up during test execution

  • Ensure ESD compliance of bench work areas and ATE systems

  • Analyze and report out test yield and test time

  • Execute checkout of newly acquired ATE and bench HW

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise calibration of bench tools and equipment

  • Manage the inventory and allocation of bench tools

  • Manage the inventory and allocation of golden units, correlation units, and validation / characterization units

  • Forecast needed lab tools, equipment, and supplies for inclusion in annual budget

  • Prepare POs and track delivery of purchased lab items

Required Skills

  • 5+ years' experience as semiconductor lab technician

  • Good working knowledge of semiconductor devices and test methodologies

  • Experience in setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of automated test equipment, Nextest Magnum SV/PV preferred

  • Experience in setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of package handlers, Synax 2400 and Seiko-Epson handlers preferred

  • Experience in setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of temperature forcers

  • Experience in setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of bench tools such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and pattern generators

  • Experience in basic modification of bench boards (eg. soldering, adding jumper wires, etc.)

  • Highly organized and systematic in the inventory and allocation of test units, bench tools, and HW boards

  • Able to flex working hours outside regular 8am-5pm shift

  • Comfortable doing clerical work such as generating POs, tracking inventory, and coordinating inbound and outbound shipments

  • Meticulous and detail-oriented

  • Knowledge of C++, Python, and VBA an advantage

  • Excellent verbal and written English skills

  • Good analytical and problem solving abilities

  • Strong Windows, Unix, and MS Office skills

  • Curious with strong self-motivation to learn and explore.
