Product Engineer Summary

Qualified candidates will be expected to help the R&D team test and characterize the performance of complex, programmable integrated (IC) solutions.  In this role, they are expected to develop product validation and characterization plans to support the release of new FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) devices.  Execution to these plans will require the Product Engineer to develop sophisticated hardware and automation software for operation on bench or ATE (Automated Test Equipment) systems.  FPGAs are programmable devices and the Product Engineer is expected to use Lattice’s proprietary design SW to instantiate IP-under-test and create/design a meaningful test solution for the ATE or bench.

The FPGA Product Engineering role is exciting and challenging, it provides multiple opportunities for talented engineers to develop proficiency in such diverse areas as PCB design, Verilog/RTL design, open-source coding in Python and/or R, ATE testing, high speed signal integrity, and advanced bench instrumentation

Product Engineer Required Experience & Skills

• MS degree (Electrical or Computer Engineering) or two years’ experience in industry.
• Knowledgeable in electronic circuits, digital design, and test methodologies.
• Proficient in the use of bench tools such as function generators, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Able to program using C, C++, and Python.
• Knowledge in hardware description languages (HDL) such as Verilog or VHDL is preferred.
• Experience in the use of programmable logic devices such as PLDS or FPGAs is an advantage.
• Knowledge of statistical analytical principles.
• Strong communications skills are preferred.
• Strong Windows, Unix, and MS Office skills.
• Curiosity and a passion for problem solving.
