Responsibilities & Skills
Lattice is seeking a CAD/EDA Engineer that is experienced in VLSI design & EDA, to join our CAD/EDA Engineering group in Penang, Malaysia. Qualified candidates must be either BS EE/ECE/COE, or MS graduate with 5 to 10 years of industry experience on advanced process technology node. This individual will be the key driver to develop and support the custom design methodology & flow.
Accountabilities
The candidate's general responsibilities include the following:
Handed on Calibre DRC/LVS/PERC, able to interpret DRC/LVS/PERC rules and development, optimized run time and memory usage.
Familiar on Cadence Quantus extraction tool, knowledgeable on transistor/gate level parasitic extraction
Deeply understand Voltus/Voltus-FI EM/IR flow, knowing how static/dynamic, signal EM/IR power and rail analysis work, run script automation, and viewing EM/IR report.
Capable to analyze and identify solution for tool limitation to enable project productivity and efficiency.
Create, release, and maintain standard design scripts to automate EDA tools & flows.
Tracking and resolution of tool and technology file issues with hands-on management of Foundry and EDA vendor support teams
Define and implement comprehensive design QA procedures and test suites.
Document and delivery training on developed methodology and EDA flows.
Monitor EDA industry trends and new capabilities by attending conferences and research forums.
Requirements:
BSEE/CE, or MSEE with at least 5 to 10 years of industry EDA experience including custom verification experience
Knowledge in pre-layout electrical rule check, physical signoff, extraction, EM/IR analysis.
Proficiency in Windows and using Unix shell scripts, TCL, Perl, Python, etc.
Independent worker with demonstrated problem-solving abilities
Proven ability to work with multiple groups across different sites and time zones.
