The Revenue Accountant is responsible for accurately recording and reporting revenue and Inventory transactions and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The role requires a strong understanding of revenue recognition/cost accounting and accounting principles, as well as the ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions.
The COST Accountant gather financial data to ensure the integrity of inventory reporting. The main job responsibility of this position is inventory valuation and preparation of production and month-end reports. Assist in the analysis of COGS, as well as investigation of Inventory variances.
Accountabilities:
- Report revenue transactions in compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Identify and analyze revenue-related issues and recommend solutions
- Prepare and maintain revenue schedules, reports and account reconciliation
- Review and analyze revenue data for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure that revenue is recognized in accordance with the company’s revenue recognition policy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Assist in the determination and setting up of standard cost for the different product parts
- Prepare and monitor monthly forecast
- Perform reconciliation and analysis of Inventory and COGS/OCOGS accounts and ensure that any variance is researched and resolved
- Examine and reviews unusual cost records and ensures cost data is allocated correctly.
- Planning, Studying and Collecting data to determine business activity costs such PPV, IPV, WIP Variance, Scrap, Yield, absorption, etc., to support the business decision
- Initiate and implement innovative projects geared toward process improvements, cost reduction, efficiency, internal control improvements and elimination of wasteful practices
- Maintain friendly and professional communication with Operations Team
- Prepare and reporting of Inventory Metrics to the management
- Perform month-end accounting procedures
- Other tasks that may be assigned
Required Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA is a plus
- A minimum of five years’ experience in accounting/finance is required and experience in Semiconductor is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Oracle system
- English in oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
