Lattice Semiconductor is seeking a Staff EDA Engineer to join the EDA/CAD team focused on various EDA tools, flow, methodologies and administration. This position is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team with ample opportunity to contribute, learn and grow.

 

Accountabilities: 

Be technically proficient in one or more of the following areas:

 

Must have skills:

• Develop and support full custom & analog mixed-signal design methodologies & flow automation.
• Create, release, and maintain standard design scripts to automate EDA tools & flows including custom design circuit checks and guidelines
• Tracking and resolution of tool and technology file issues with hands-on management of Foundry and EDA vendor support teams.
• Customs Layout and schematic related experience (from setting up tools, flows and methodology perspective).
• Running the LVS and DRC checks on it (from setting up tools, flows and methodologies perspective).
• Experience in Cadence "skills" is a plus.
• AMS (Analog Mixed Simulations) experience.
• Experience in using tools like Cadence Virtuoso, Siemens Calibre (DRC / LVS).
• TCL, Python and shell scripting proficiency.

 Nice to have skills:

• Public multi-cloud and private cloud administration.
• HW revision control and release tool management understanding.
• Innovate around GenAI applications and productivity automation.
• Adopt best-in-class methodologies and improve Lattice's capabilities where needed.
• Develop strong relationships with worldwide teams.

• Occasional travel as needed.

Required Skills:

• BS/MS/PhD Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer systems degree, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of overall experience in EDA tools, flow, methodologies, 7+ years of specific technical experience.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages like TCL, Perl, or Python.
• Independent worker with demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to work with multiple groups across different sites and time zones.
