Responsibilities & Skills

Accountabilities: 

Ensure global environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance with all applicable local & internal laws/regulations and other requirements through periodic review of laws/regulations/requirements and regular communication of internal requirements and policies. 

  • Ensure company’s compliance to applicable environmental, health and safety laws/regulations and other requirements (OSHA, ISO and local site requirements).
  • Promote & manages global practices that minimize environmental impact (waste reduction, recycling, energy efficiency).
  • Manages safety culture program such as awareness, handling and improvement of safety indicators, among others thru effective training programs and monitoring.
  • Provides technical assistance in completing reports and permit applications for government agencies, internal and external customers.
  • Establishes and implements safety compliance programs thereby promoting a safe and healthful work practices for the protection of personnel, physical assets and operations.
  • Interfaces with management at all levels regarding environment, health and safety evaluations and control methods.
  • Conducts EHS buy-offs, audits/inspections, and workplace surveys.
  • Performs/Coordinate liaison work with the International/Local government agencies, secures government permits and prepares required reports.
  • Suggest and implement continuous improvement including optimization of plans and programs.
  • Assist with special projects & other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Physical Sciences Degree or Environmental or Safety Engineering Courses.
  • At least Safety Officer 2 and Pollution Control Officer.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of EHS relevant laws, regulations and standard (Local & International OSHA, ISO, EMS)
  • Strong understanding of safety engineering requirements for electrical, mechanical, chemical, and physical hazards.
  • Has the ability to participate in a cross-functional team environment, effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective English in oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work & lead in a Global fast-paced environment with strong project management skills
