Responsibilities & Skills

Drive the product lifecycle process for the enterprise wide including product conception, development, execution, launch to production till end of life. Lead a small team of program managers worldwide to drive strategic programs including our FPGA and FPGA-SoC products, covering hardware, firmware, Software tools, Software solutions and Soft IP. Within the PMO organization, foster accountability for schedule fidelity, product quality, customer experience and vital product success Key performance indicators; outside the PMO organization, work closely and cross-functionally with R&D, Applications, Marketing, Operations, and Sales organizations with regular updates to the executive leadership team. Enhance accountability towards delivery and schedule fidelity of all programs within the broader R&D, Global Operations/Quality and marketing organizations as required. Collaborate with teams ranging from 10s to 100s of engineers worldwide to deliver complex programs spanning FPGA/SoC hardware and software, firmware, software tools, solution stacks and reference platforms. Evangelize a passion for metrics, planning process frameworks, schedule fidelity, and development velocity.  This role plays a critical role in enabling company strategy, aligning teams, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering multiple complex projects for the company. This leadership position is responsible for driving daily operations, metrics-oriented team of professionals focused program management and core team leadership team. This team is responsible for execution planning, driving cross functional team through the influence model towards delivery of various milestones. This leader leverages Lattice’s product lifecycle process to execute, monitor and take appropriate risk mitigation actions to ensure high schedule fidelity for engineering, operations, and customer programs.

 

  • Leadership: lead delivery of all projects, programs spanning our FPGA, tools, software, solutions. customer-facing products, corporate applications, and infrastructure. They would leverage leadership experience, with a proven track record of success in building and motivating high-performing program or project management teams
  • Collaboration: Work with R&D, Architecture, product management, marketing, global operations, quality, IT teams to ensure successful execution of each program
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders (internally and at times with customers). Publish and communicate status, plans, risks, mitigations for all programs under execution with the executive and non-executive management teams, technical teams.
  • Planning: Drive the planning of complex platform and derivative products from concept to end of life. This planning follows the company’s established lifecycle process. Own this process and drive refinements in the process as/when necessary. They would develop deep knowledge of each project, program operations, and business plan working closely with marketing/R&D teams
  • Governance: Use well defined metrics and milestones to drive maturity of programs throughout their execution. Ensure transparency and visibility of critical milestones.
  • Risk management: Document risks and mitigation at the project kick off. Track and adapt at each milestone in terms of new risks and retiral of old risks as mandated
  • Customers and Suppliers: Provide leadership for critical (lines down type) incident management for our customer centric issues and/or supplier issues.
  • PM Methodologies: They would adapt and apply PM methodologies to meet program objectives and client business drivers
  • OpEx and Materials: Lead and participate in annual budget process of arriving at necessary OpEx model to deliver testing, NPI and execution of all the programs per roadmap. Work with engineering operations and finance team on this.
  • Partner with key HW/System/Operations leaders in engineering to create and maintain a detailed execution dashboard to help tightly control and manage various engineering programs.
  • Develop and maintain a dashboard covering all aspects of product development: Silicon, System engineering & operations.
  • Partner with leaders of architecture and silicon engineering teams to create granular milestones covering architecture, design, verification, backend/PD, post silicon and track performance to plan.
  • Partner with SW program management and Machine Learning Accelerator and SoC SW leaders on HW/Systems interactions.
  • Partner with Silicon and System leaders to develop metrics to track HW/SW validation and integrate them into the dashboard.
  • Partner with platform engineering and operations leaders to develop and track milestones.
  • Drive periodic HW program reviews and monthly executive engineering program reviews, own engineering execution tracker for Board of Directors and Executive updates.
  • Highly Desirable - Experience driving automotive programs.
  • Develop, implement, and report program status/KPIs/metrics for measuring program effectiveness and improvement areas.
  • Recruitment and talent development: Work with SVP of R&D, ELT to refine vision of program management organization and staff appropriate talent (as necessary). Drive high performance teams and participate in talent management and development in PMO as well as global R&D
  • Executive Management: The Senior Director of Program Manager is part of the executive management team and manages the organization’s outreach and support functions including town halls
  • Strategic & Roadmap Planning: They contribute to the company’s success by giving out ideas to improve the organization’s strategies in terms of planning, budgeting, and program execution working closely with engineering operation
  • Drive Communication internally regarding product execution dashboard and actions.
  • Drive planning calendar and execution thereof (track)
  • Drive Change management relating to programs under execution

  • Take 8-D ownerships and driving action items
  • Drive lessons learned from customer support, experience (L1-L3) into Quality metrics
  • Influence Metrics – Operations and engineering

REQUIREMENTS

BE/BS/MS in Engineering or Management related discipline

20+ years experience in program management, product development workflow, budget management, capex management

15+ years experience working with R&D Leadership, preference for experience with VP+ level executives

10+ years interactinv with teams in the APAC geographic region
