Responsibilities & Skills

What Will You Get to Do?

Do you have a passion for invention and self-challenge? This position gives you an opportunity to learn and participate in one of the most cutting-edge projects that Lattice’s Silicon Engineering team has embarked upon to date.

We are validating building blocks in Silicon on board level to ensure functionality and performance aspect of Design intent. FPGA consists of various IPs as a building block such as SERDES, Memory DDR, DPHY, PLL etc.  As a Silicon Design Validation engineer, you will have an opportunity to learn and train yourself on how to validate one of the building blocks within the FPGA.  This will help acquiring knowledge on design & verification of usage case in FPGA to enable your validation.  And you will be able to acquire knowledge on process/methodology required for validating certain IPs from planning to execution. While you are working on those, you will be exposed to cutting edge equipment and advanced boards as well as Various SW/tools/scripts.

What you’re going to be exposed to and learn:

The ideal candidate is highly motivated in developing a career in Silicon Design Validation engineering.  You will get significant exposure and training in the following areas:

  • Validate and characterize integrated circuit (IC) products from tape-out through release to production.
  • Develop validation and characterization plans, bench hardware and software.
  • Develop usecase RTL to achieve required test.
  • Drive new silicon product bring-up, debug and characterization to determine product performance.
  • Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production release.
  • Functional validation. Performance measurement. Measured data analysis, data sheet preparation and reviewing the test result
  • Schedule and maintain status of new product validation, characterization process and qualification issues pertaining to new product introduction.
  • Interact with internal design, manufacturing, and applications on all product issues.
  • Support device failure analysis as required to resolve any device-related problems
