Job Description

This is an intern position for the research and development of a compiler for the sensAI stack and Lattice ML engines. Participate in the exploration of open-source compiler framework, designs, developments, debugs, and verifications of compiler software for the Lattice ML engine.
The tasks the candidate will work on:

• Exploration: Exploration and understanding of open-source compiler framework and presenting it to teams.
• Development, Testing, and Debug: Port open-source compiler and modify it for Lattice hardware.
• Debug and fix functional and performance issues of the compiler system.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to understand and improve the chip architecture and propose future improvements.

Qualifications

The candidate must possess the minimum qualifications below to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering or any related field or PhD candidate researching in the same field.
• 2+ years C/C++ programming experience and Understanding difference between traditional C++ vs Advanced C++ concepts.
• Understanding of build process, cross-compilation, and Makefile creation.
• Understanding of compiler and computer architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge of compiler frameworks such as LLVM, MLIR, or similar.
• Familiar with RISC-V, Arm Architecture.

The base pay for this role is between $23 to $53 per hour.
