Responsibilities & Skills

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Security Operations Center (SOC) Lead. The SOC Lead will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing our security operations, ensuring the protection of our organization's assets, data, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing and responding to security incidents.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Security Operations Center.
    • Mentor, train, and supervise SOC team members to ensure a high level of expertise and efficiency.
    • Foster a collaborative and proactive team culture focused on continuous improvement and skill development.
  • Security Incident Response:
    • Oversee the detection, analysis, and response to security incidents.
    • Develop and implement incident response plans, ensuring a swift and effective response to emerging threats.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate and remediate security incidents.
  • Security Monitoring and Analysis:
    • Implement and manage security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
    • Conduct continuous monitoring and analysis of security alerts and incidents.
    • Stay ahead of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
  • Policy Development and Enforcement:
    • Develop, review, and enforce security policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    • Implement security awareness programs to educate employees about security policies.
  • Technology Evaluation and Enhancement:
    • Evaluate and recommend security technologies to enhance the SOC capabilities.
    • Work closely with IT and other departments to implement security solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Reporting and Communication:
    • Prepare and present regular reports on security metrics, incidents, and trends to executive leadership.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on security posture and incident response activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a senior role within a Security Operations Center, with a minimum of 7 years in cybersecurity.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
