Responsibilities & Skills

Lattice is seeking candidates for the position of Technical Writer. This is a full-time position located in Penang, Malaysia.

 

Accountabilities: 

  • Create, enhance, and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, product data sheets, and application notes.
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams, including R&D engineering, product marketing, applications engineering, and other subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure technical accuracy of customer documentation.
  • Ensure documentation is written in clear, concise language and optimal visualization that meets industry standards and approved by all relevant stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate documentation projects, including managing timelines and stakeholders.
  • Work with SMEs to develop and maintain technical knowledge.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Master Lattice writing tools and processes and seek ways to improve documentation standards, architecture, framework, and relevant processes.

 

Qualifications:

  • Preferred degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in technical writing or FPGA/ASIC/IP support/design.
  • Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in managing documentation projects and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to research technical topics and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with professional authoring tools such as Adobe Acrobat, FrameMaker, Visio, Illustrator, etc.
  • Experience with structured authoring, content management system, and DITA is a plus.
  • Experience with FPGA technology is a plus.
